The Bearded Collie, or “Beardie” as it is affectionately called, is often confused with the Old English Sheepdog. The easiest way to tell the difference between the two is their tail – Beardies have one, OES don’t! Bearded Collies have large, expressive eyes and are medium-sized, reaching approximately 45-55 lbs. in adulthood. These dogs are bouncy, intelligent, and have charming personalities. They are excellent with children, eager to please, and excel at dog sports such as agility, obedience, and herding.
