This past year has been challenging for many families. It has been particularly hard for one Make-A-Wish Southern Florida family. The Diaz family is not only dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, but they are also in an ongoing battle with leukemia.
Jaxon Diaz is a 6-year-old boy whose wish is to have a normal life. This has all been changed with his leukemia diagnosis and his inability to attend school. His only wish was for a new best friend who will stick by his side. Not just any friend, but a fluffy, white Labrador Retriever to love on!
Well, Jaxson’s wish finally came true after some determination and coordination between PuppySpot and Make-A-Wish Southern Florida! When we heard about Jaxson’s wish, we knew his best friend was somewhere out there waiting to get home. So, we worked with the wish family until they had their heart set on a beautiful male English Labrador puppy by the name of Bentley.
Before Bentley could make his way to Jaxson, he was thoroughly vet checked from nose-to-tail. Of course, he couldn’t get home without the great work of the PuppySpot Travel team! After his arrangements were made, Bentley was safely flown VIP style on a PuppySpot Air charter plane from Missouri to Florida.
Upon his arrival, Bentley was greeted by PuppySpot’s Health team Manager Jeasca James. After a long morning of traveling, Bentley was finally home with Jaxson. Both Bentley and Jaxson were so excited to meet their new best friend! It was a special day for the Diaz family.
Thank you, Make-A-Wish Southern Florida for helping us deliver happiness!
