How dog-friendly is Las Vegas?
A recent WalletHub study analyzed the 100 largest US cities to see which are the most pet-friendly. In their study, Las Vegas is ranked as the 4th most pet-friendly. The city scored number one overall for outdoor pet-friendliness. Plus, it ranked 32nd and 34th for pet budget and pet health and wellness, respectively.
A similar study from SmartAsset ranked Las Vegas as the 6th most pet-friendly city. The city is ranked so high because it has one of the highest numbers of dog parks per resident in the country. It also has a high ratio of pet-related establishments and a low average of rainy days during the year.
Dog parks and outdoor activities in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is one of the most pet-friendly cities, largely due to how much there is to do outdoors with your pets. The previously mentioned SmartAsset study found the city to have 3.8 dog parks per 100,000 residents, the fourth highest in the country.
Among these are over 20 off-leash dog parks where your furry friends can roam and play. Some of the most popular dog parks in the city include Barx Parx, Woofer Dog Park, Centennial Hills Dog Park, and All American Dog Park.
