A similar study from WalletHub ranked Lexington-Fayette as the 41st most pet-friendly city. They note that the city is one of the best places to raise a healthy pet, ranking it 22nd overall in the pet health and wellness category.

According to the SmartAsset study, there are 1.9 dog parks per 100,000 residents in the city. This is one of the highest numbers in the country.
