Bernaswiss Mountain Dog is a cross between the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and the Bernese Mountain Dog. Both parent breeds are the Sennenhund-type that originated from the Swiss Alps. They were both originally were used as all-purpose farm dogs. This breed is an excellent watchdog, but not aggressive. Bernaswiss Mountain Dog is a self-confident, alert, and good-natured dog. This breed tends to be stubborn, so early training is very important for them. They are very intelligent, and the pet parent has to keep them entertained. Their energy level is high, so they require constant daily exercise.
