Originating in Germany, this dog was historically not intended to become the easy-going lap dog it is today. Dachshunds were bred to be badger-hunting dogs, with their sensitive sense of smell and low-to-the-ground stature. Today, Dachshunds come in two sizes (standard and miniature) and in three varieties (smooth-, wire- and long-haired). They are curious and friendly in nature. These long-bodied, lively pups are sure to steal the hearts of everyone they meet.Read More

Received continuous communication throughout process. Everyone involved very pleasant and helpful. Our puppy was delivered happy and healthy!
My Harlee is an angel and I am very happy to have her but the process with PuppySpot wasn’t as good as it could have been. If I were to do it again I would probably source a breeder myself. All communication is very automated and limited. I found out that they found an inguinal hernia in my pup at at final vet visit. It would have eased my mind to speak with the breeder or vet who examined her but I was told due to privacy policies I could not do that and was only given the option to take $100 off my puppy or choose another after waiting for this one for weeks. It added a lot of stress for me to make this type of decision with minimal information.
Abby was only 3 pounds when she arrived but now is 4 pounds at 9 weeks right where the Vet said she should be. She is so cute and adorable and has already provided me with lots of joy. Abby fits into my family so well. She knows her name and is almost potty trained. I love to cuddle with her on my couch while watching tv at night. She has lots of toys and will go into her toy box to choose one to play with. The Puppy Spot videos of Abby helped me decide she was a good temperament for me.
