Bred to be compact, alert hunting companions, Jack Russell Terriers today are still very similar to their ancestors. These active, sturdy terriers come in two varieties (smooth coat and rough coat) and are not your typical lap dogs. Russell Terriers are intelligent and learn quickly, are devoted and affectionate, and make good pets for an active family.
Jack-A-Poo is a mixed breed of the Jack Russell Terrier and the Poodle. Jack-A-Poo is usually known as intelligent, affectionate, curious and lively. This breed is great for those people who are suffering from allergies and looking for a low shedding breed. Jack-A-Poo is eager to please his human family and very easy to train. However, during the training time, you will have to be very patient because the terrier in him can make him stubborn. This breed comes from two intelligent breeds of dog which makes him an excellent choice as a four-legged best friend. Jack-A-Poo gets along well with young children and other pets. They have a high energy level, so make sure that you have enough time for daily exercise. The Jack-A-Poo weighs between 13 and 25 pounds, and its size is 10 to 15 inches.
Beagles are popular and well-loved as family dogs all over the country. Initially bred to be a hunting and tracking dog, Beagles have incredibly powerful noses, short legs that keep them near their scent, and an impressive intellect to help them track. Known for their loud “voices” and curious, happy personalities, Beagles tend to be very healthy dogs. They are eager to please and extremely curious, especially when they catch an interesting scent! Beagles are small-medium sized (typically 20-25 lbs. in adulthood) and make wonderful, amusing companions.
