  • Overview

  • Also known as the "Corgi Pug", the Porgi is a charming, playful, and fun-loving hybrid. They were developed by crossbreeding the Pug and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. This amusing and loyal family companion can also be stubborn like the Pug and have strong herding instincts like the Corgi and are best suited for families with older children. The Porgi is a sturdy, medium-sized dog who tends to inherit the Corgi’s short stature, long body, and thicker coat. The Pug traits are often apparent in the shorter muzzle, curly tail, and flopped ears. They are a lively and energetic breed that can require a moderate amount of exercise to stay mentally and physically stimulated. The Porgi can be a little wary of strangers, so early socialization and training are key to making them comfortable around new people.

Purchasing a puppy can be a difficult decision. I appreciate the patience Puppy Spot staff demonstrated over the 5 or so phone calls we had to arrive at the final decision. The puppy has been with us for about a month and we are much richer for having him in our lives. Thanks again!
