Megan and her family started raising dogs about 9 years ago. They raise 15 different breeds on a small farm, and a heated and air conditioned state of the art kennel. Megan even has a bed set up so she can stay overnight with the moms when it gets close to whelping time. Her two children also help with the puppies, and every puppy is microchipped, healthy, and well-socialized before they head to their forever family.
We recently caught up with Megan:
Q: When did you start breeding dogs?
A: 2013. 10 year anniversary coming up next year : )
Q: What is the best part of each day?
A: I love to take care of my babies in the morning. They're always so happy to see me!
Q: Why do you love what you do?
A: After 20 years in the horse industry, an injury forced a career change. I've always worked with animals, so raising dogs fuels my passion. My dogs are my family! I love animals more than people. My children get to help with the care and socialization of the puppies. It's a demanding but rewarding job.
