Bulldogs are gentle and affectionate dogs who are great for families. They are a fairly low-energy breed and do well in apartments or city living.

They are the national dog of England, and their strong heads, loose skin, and short legs give them a distinctive, amusing appearance.

Bulldogs are loyal and are excellent with children and cats.

The bulldog is a recognizable breed known for its laid-back attitude.  They are low to the ground but very strong.  They typically weigh 40 – 50 pounds and have a shorter life expectancy of 8 – 10 years.  They have a short muzzle that makes them prone to overheating.  They may have a variety of health issues so require a conscientious owner to manage their higher demands.  Always contact your veterinarian as soon as you notice any physical or behavioral changes.

Bulldogs love being around others so don't leave them alone for long. They are easy to care for as they don't have high activity needs.

However, make sure you train your Bulldog puppy early as Bulldogs can be stubborn!

Since Bulldogs have flat faces, they can overheat easily. Make sure you keep them cool.
