When is Eli ready to leave his mom?
Young puppies have delicate immune systems, so we and our breeders take extra care to ensure they're fully prepared for travel. Eli must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh 2.5 pounds or more before traveling. If Eli weighs less than 2.5 pounds, Eli will be eligible to travel at 12 weeks per federal guidelines. Quick facts about Cairn Terriers
The Cairn Terrier originated in the 1500s Scottish highlands along with several other terrier-type breeds. They received their name because they were able to squeeze down into rock stacks called "Cairns" that badgers and foxes often used as dens It wasn't until the early 1900s that the Cairn Terrier, Scottish Terrier, Skye Terrier, and West Highland White Terrier were separated into their own district breed.
