english springer spaniel Care
The English Springer Spaniel is a moderate shedder that requires regular brushing to keep their coat from matting. The Springer is also a flushing dog, meaning they will enter any habitat to spring or flush out any game they wish to chase. This means they are prone to getting wet, muddy, or getting things stuck in their coats. Keeping them trimmed especially during the summer months should help reduce the upkeep on their coats. It is also important clean your Springer's ears at 1-2 times a week. Their long ears which are covered in thick fur reduce the amount of airflow and can also trap dirt and moisture making them prone to infections if not routinely checked.
