Hi, I'm Gena! I'm a 5-week-old female Golden Retriever with a beautiful golden coat, born on May 12. I'll be ready to go home to my forever family after July 14, once I'm grown enough to leave my litter. When I reach my adult size, I should weigh between 45–75 lbs. I'm AKC registered. When is Gena ready to leave her mom?
Young puppies have delicate immune systems, so we and our breeders take extra care to ensure they're fully prepared for travel. Gena must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh 2.5 pounds or more before traveling. If Gena weighs less than 2.5 pounds, Gena will be eligible to travel at 12 weeks per federal guidelines.
