Hi, I'm Indigo! I'm a 4-week-old male Dachshund with a beautiful red coat, born on July 21. I'll be ready to go home to my forever family after September 15, once I'm grown enough to leave my litter. When I reach my adult size, I should weigh between 10–12 lbs. I'm AKC registered. I love to run and roll around outside. But, my favorite thing to do after a long day at play is to snuggle up on the couch next to my family and sleep as they pet my head.

Bringing Indigo home
When is Indigo ready to leave his mom?
Young puppies have delicate immune systems, so we and our breeders take extra care to ensure they're fully prepared for travel. Indigo must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh 2.5 pounds or more before traveling. If Indigo weighs less than 2.5 pounds, Indigo will be eligible to travel at 12 weeks per federal guidelines.
