From the very beginning this experience was great. Everyone I dealt with was kind and helpful and always kept me updated on what was going on. A little glitch at airport but was corrected very fast. So happy with outr sweet Yogi.

Great supportive helpful

I have found the people at puppyspot to be great! My puppy arrived with a heart murmur which was not known to the folks at puppy spot because it was not reported by the breeder's vet. We are in the process of determining the severity of her condition so I know whether or not to keep her. They have agreed to reimburse me for the medical diagnostic expenses which are high. And if the problem is severe they will take her back and either refund me my money or have me choose another dog. I am hoping to keep her. I can definitely recommend puppyspot.

Overall, the experience was good. Look out for breeder tests.

We asked for a fecal report before our puppy was shipped. We did not receive it with the rest of the puppy papers. We had a test done through our vet and the fecal sample came back positive for parasites. We did get the breeders report later and it showed negitve for parasites?

As you noted, your puppy underwent a nose-to-tail health check, including a fecal test, by a licensed veterinarian prior to her trip home. That check and the initial feedback we got from the mandated health check performed within 48 hours of your puppy's arrival home suggested there were no issues, so we were just as surprised as you were to hear that she had tested positive for parasites a short time after. Regardless, you did the right thing by notifying us as soon as you learned their might be an issue and our internal Health team was quick to reach back out to see how we could help, including providing tips for how to keep your puppy healthy during treatment and resending your puppy's pre-flight health paperwork. Although we will continue to stay in close contact with you regarding the current situation, we want to reiterate that, even after this situation is resolved, you should never hesitate to reach out to us if there is anything we can do to be helpful.

Disappointed.

I was disappointed in my experience. They allowed my dog to be crated for more time than the vet had advised in the note sent with the dog. The dog was visibly shaken when I finally received her. She did not have water in her crate when I finally received her. The puppy was originally supposed to arrive on a Wednesday night. They called and said she was too light to fly. I said ok, but I requested a flight during the day because I had taken time off work to be with my new dog. No one contacts me to give me the new flight info. So I call. Dog is getting in at 8pm that Friday despite me requesting a daytime arrival. I get a call from the airline (American Airline) saying that they made a mistake and my puppy was rejected from the flight. However, she would arrive only 15-30 later than originally stated. That is fine. Then I get a call that she can not be added to that flight and the 8pm arrival time will now be 11:45pm. That is much more time than I wanted my dog to be trapped in a crate. When I arrived early to American Airlines, the employees ignored me as I could hear my puppy screaming from the warehouse. I did not obtain her until midnight. Her crate smelled horrible and she was damp and gross with ZERO water. She stuck her face in her water bowl for longer than I could count when I got her in the car. I was horrified and felt heartbroken. Then when I got her home, I looked at her paperwork and googled the breeder and on the first result page it claims that the dog comes from an Amish puppy mill. There was a quote from the breeder in a local newspaper saying that dogs are not humans. They are "livestock." Physically, she came with a cough and hernias. I was made aware of the hernias about 24 hours prior to her travel, but at that point I had purchased her 2 weeks before and had stared at her photos for 2 weeks so I just wanted her to get here. I was not made aware of the cough. I don't know if it was caught during her traumatic travel experience or what. I love my girl but it was a roller coaster experience and I do not believe I could ever do it again.

In terms of travel, that is the only part of your review that we were already aware of and we are sorry about the negative experience you had with American Airlines. On the day your puppy traveled, as soon as we learned of the flight issue, our Travel team was quick to jump in to see how we could help. We remained in constant contact with you all day until your puppy was safely in your possession. Finally, as you mentioned in your review, prior to your puppy's travel, we alerted you about her umbilical hernia (which is both common and non-life threatening). Regardless of how minor the health issue, our policy is to alert any potential puppy parents of health issues before a puppy travels and, as we did in your case, we give customers the option to receive a full refund and forego the puppy placement. In terms of your puppy arriving with a cough, that is surprising to us, since we reached out to you several times after your puppy's arrival to check into how she was settling into her new home and whether there was anything else you needed, but we never heard back from you. We are very sorry about the issues you encountered but, as is the case for any member of our community, our team of Customer Advocates is always just a call or click away, so you should feel free to reach out to us directly at any time with any question, big or small.

I called many times, and the staff was always available to take my calls and answer my questions. Sometimes they even had to call the breeder to get my answers and always called me back quickly. We named her Domino because she has two perfect black dots on her back. She is adjusting well and is so sweet we love her very much.
