Golden Cocker Retriever (AKA Cogol) is a crossbreed between the Golden Retriever and Cocker Spaniel. This breed was the second most popular one at the end of the 1990s. That’s because this dog has lots of qualities to be a perfect family pet. This breed is very intelligent and affectionate. They are also very playful yet very gentle with young children. They tend to get along easily with strangers and other pets as well. This breed is eager to please and very easy to train, that’s why it is so popular to be trained as a service dog. They make good watchdogs and have great guarding instincts; moreover, they don’t bark often. The average height of a Golden Retriever is 24 inches and its weight ranges between 65 and 75 pounds.
